secondary apps and interviews

Say I apply June 2010. How quickly do schools send out secondary applications and when do they offer interviews???

I am trying to plan a trip abroad to volunteer and I would like to fit it in between applications and interviews.

When interviews start to go out varies by school. Some will get started sending out invitations as early as July and others will wait until Oct/Nov with most being somewhere in between. The actual interviews are conducted from late august/early september all the way up until march/april of the next year.
