Anyone else reusing some of their secondaries and notice areas that could be improved (no errors, just areas of improvement. This is where the clickbait comes from in the title, I tricked you to think that I was completely screwed, but in reality it’s not as bad as you think. While you are here, have the decency to comment). Like looking back at one of my first submissions (it happened to be a school that’s I actually really want to attend, Georgetown, :_(
I see how it’s not as flowy as the ones I submitted later. While the content is still there with no grammar or spelling errors, I hope adcoms aren’t gonna be grading us on writing skills lol. Anyone else have this issue?

Yup. I am working on a scholarship application right now and am realizing that my Primary application and most of my secondaries only briefly touch on my connections to other people. **** bites, my guy.

Lol I’m not really talking about content as I am about the writing quality of the application. For me, the content was there, it’s just really choppy

Yes for me, both flow and content. I haven't looked back to my earlier submissions but I feel better about recent ones (idk though maybe it's bias)
UMich was the first one I submitted....Maybe that is why I am not hearing anything back from them lol

I feel the same way. Unfortunately since I’m reusing prompts I have to look back lol. It’s wierd, if you go on Reddit you’ll find that “mistakes” like being choppy or not having the best writing ability shouldn’t bar you from an II if the contents there, on SDN it’s a completely different story tho lol

Before I took the MCAT, browsing SDN used to make me physically sick to my stomach with how high the bar is raised here

This is 100% accurate. I like SDN because I intrinsically lack self motivation and usually fall under the ‘good’nuff’ category. I think the neuroticism and perfectionism forced me to hold myself to a higher standard than I do in every day life.

Yeah, I procrastinated and spent so much time on my Duke secondary that it actually came out really nice, prose-wise, but was nearly my last app. Now I'm looking back at my 20-something other secondaries and wondering what drunk toddler submitted those..
