I am not sure how to best utilize this section.
I have taken the MCAT 3 times...and my very first try was 2 years ago, and I failed horribly..my score was less than 500. Then in my 2nd try, it was 504. My third try I got 511.
Should I explain myself about the 3 attempts at MCAT?

Also, in my fall semester of sophomore year, my GPA dropped from 3.8 to 3.3, which I managed to bring it back up a bit in the spring semester by getting a 4.0. And then from then on, my main focus was to get straight 4.0s until graduation, which I managed to do most of the time.
However, because I was trying to get 4.0 all semesters, my course load was not as rigorous as other pre-med students... I took all the major courses and electives but nothing more than I needed to. This was my strategy...to take off some load and study harder instead to get 4.0

Should I explain these two circumstances regarding my MCAT and GPA fluctuations?

"Any further information"...you want to point out your good stuff, not your negatives. You should be trying to sell yourself, not explain your shortcomings.

Similar situation for me when I applied. I talked about it very briefly and explained how in hindsight I realized I should have orchestrated my study time and school responsibilities better, and that the experience helped me learn to be more practical. Talk about what you learned from this, but don't dwell on it because you don't want the reader to focus solely on that.
