Really sorry if this was answered elsewhere or if it's a thread in the wrong spot. Help me move it, if need be?

There seems to be a rule that high school topics are not really supposed to be included on the AMCAS application, nor should they be the focus of the personal statement. Because, hey, I get it, that was SO 3+ years ago.

My question is: if a secondary essay prompt is best answered using a high school activity/award, is that acceptable? is it at all looked down upon?

Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Personally, I would not use a high school activity unless you continued it into college. I don't think we were supposed to put any high school activities in our list of 15, so I think that translates to our secondaries.

More recent activities definitely seem better to use. I'm sure you've encountered a similar situation SOMEWHERE in college. Hope that helps..
