Hey everyone--

With the primary apps about to go out, I was wondering what the secondary application essays are like? Length? Prompts? Etc...

ANY info will be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Most schools have theirs on their websites. You can even print them out and complete them; just don't send them in until prompted to do so. You'll save time by already having them done. Start your rough draft NOW; you'll revise and revise and revise.

I looked at Western U secondary, and it says list all the MD and DO schools you are applying this year. If you are applying to about 20 MD and 5 DO schools, do they look down on your application?

Because it seems like listing more MD schools would kind of go against the secondary essays like "motivation for training as an osteopathic physician," "qualities that you possess that will make you a good osteopathic physician," etc.

But if your goal is to become a doctor and your view is that it can be achieved through either MD or DO, 20 MD schools and 5 DO schools is kind of proportional to how many actual MD and DO schools there are.

If you are applying also to MD schools and not list them on secondary, can they find out?
