Hi everyone,

I was just wondering, when do medical schools consider your application complete? I have verified my AMCAS, and have received the majority of my secondary applications. However, I am still waiting on one more LOR.

I'm afraid if I submit only some of my LORs to AMCAS, schools may overlook the on I add on later. Should I wait until I receive all my LOR's to re-submit my AMCAS application?

And should I start submitting secondaries without my LORS as well?

Thanks.

I'm going to assume that you're waiting on an important LOR, since this probably wouldn't be an issue otherwise?

Basically for a secondary to be complete, the school must receive all of the letters that you assigned to it on your AMCAS. So if you want schools to ignore your app until ALL of your letters come in, do the following: On your AMCAS, create an entry for the LOR that you're waiting on. Assign that letter to schools just like you would for a letter that has already been received. None of your secondaries will be complete until this letter has been received, of course, but you'll be able to submit all your secondaries while you're waiting on the letter.

Does that make sense?

crystal clear. Thank you so much for responding.
