Having some trouble determining a good experience for my adversity topic, could I get some input?

Currently, I am juggling between these ideas.

1) Before the age of 15, I've moved about 6 times in my life. Lesson: Over that time developed an outgoing personality.
2) In Laos, I was driving a motorbike and it happened to stop in the middle of this rural village, did not work at all and 0 people spoke English. Lesson: Learned to make do with the situation at hand and calmly figure **** out.

Which one do you think I could write about? Leaning towards #2 but not sure if that has enough "depth" to it.

1 is better that 2 in my view. It has more depth.

Thanks for the response! Do you think that it's okay even though the majority of the experience happened when I was younger?

One thing I recently heard about assessing applicants for admission, particularly in making a holistic review, is the concept of "grit".

Either of @John Scotty 's proposed topics would work and I do like #2 because it happened when he was an adult.

Interesting. This is definitely a tough call. I have a few other similiar stories to #2 that I could use, alot of experiences while travelling and things didn't go right. Is it fine even though it really is not that "deep" of a topic?

Good article, too. I am not sure if that helps me decide which ones to use though :/
