Hey everyone
I'm pre-writing secondaries now and I have noticed that a lot of prompts from last year asked about how you will contribute to eliminating healthcare disparities. Do you think it is a good idea to talk about my own interactions with diverse patient populations (I've worked in hospice, children clinics, free clinics that served a lot of immigrant patients etc.) and say what I learned about them and what I look forward to learning? I'm also an immigrant myself so I was wondering if that would be an okay thing to include. Thank you!!

Of course it is: It is what you should be talking about. Your ideas back by the evidence that you put them into place or have experience with them or have learned from them. As an immigrant in the healthcare system who has worked in such a diverse areas as hospice and children’s clinic especially if they are in lower economic areas is exactly what you should be talking about
Thank you!!
