Like many of you that are waiting for AADSAS ...to get off their coffee break ..and finally process your apps.... im drooling at the list of other SDNers that are getting their secondaries and interviews.... I know I know... early worm gets yada yada yada... well anyhow... since I have nothing better to do than click between this forum and the infosourse website... I was thinking about making my life a little more productive.... I was wondering if any of you caring... lucky souls that are well on their way to getting their secondaries ...can you share some of the questions that are ask in them... I thought maybe I .....as well as many others... could start thinking about them... thanks!

If you could put:

School:
question(s):

The most common questions being asked are:
Why do you choose our school?
Is there anything particular important about you that Adcom should know.

You should prepare these questions not only for the 2nd application but also for interview. They should be short, less than 500 words.

AZ school has many other essays that you need to write. too much to tell you.

Anticipate questions such as:

Why our school? Why do you want to go into dentistry? How do you deal with stress? Where do you see yourself in ten years?

These are questions that I have been asked in one form or another. What I have been doing prior to each interview is making an inventory of the school's offerings, approach to their curriculum, etc. and then reviewing it prior to the actual interview. Doing so helps me retain information which I can recall while answering a question or asking one. I have also done the same thing concerning myself so when I am presented with a question, and I'm a little nervous already, I can be sure to give an honest and succinct response. Best of luck on your interviews! 👍

Questions:

Expect everything mentioned thus far. (I have been asked all of those.)

But if you a non-traditional student:

Expect questions on how your family feels about your moving to the said school? (Job, organizational skills, support, etc.)

What is your 2 best and worst traits? The "worst" part always gets me because like you want them to know the most horrible thing about you in your opinion. Have good answers for them that are believable.

Umm. When I get new ones I will post them. (3 interviews scheduled on the books, and 2 finished.)

I guess I was looking for the specific questions found on Secondary Apps that are sent out.... eg Nova's secondary apps... Marquette's apps... etc

thanks for the response above tho!

Just have a dumb question, who is considered as a non-traditional student and who is not? Forgive my ignorance!

I believe Non-Traditional is usually a tag layed on ppl that have graduated a few years back, been working, older in age, or all of the above... shoot I just described myself... oh wellz!

Hey Luder... you an Aggie too!!! damn I haven't been there in 5 years... wow... memories!

UCLA and UCSF have an online link to their secondary applications. Though you can't submit until you've received a postcard from them.
