Hi all,

I have read some threads on SDN about secondary statements, but I had a question about a particular situation. In order to submit information on time etc., what if someone submitted two secondary essays to a school before their ACCOMAS personal statement/application was submitted and then used much of the information from the two secondary essays to write the primary application. Would the aformentioned school frown upon that or would that not matter since the secondary may be more important?

Thanks

That does sound strange. Not all schools send out secondary applications to every applicant, so I suggest sending a thoughtful secondary essay distinct from your primary application ONLY when you receive it from the school.

Good Luck🙂

Secondary essays are part of secondary applications, which implies that they are second to the primary application. Do not send secondary statements to schools before being invited to do so, unless otherwise noted on their website.

Well, I was invited to do so; I was told by an admissions officer to do just that. So, now I am wondering if I should re-submit my secondary essays.

this doesn't sound usual; perhaps someone else has been in this situation and can offer guidance. You should probably contact that admissions officer though and ask them whether to re-submit.

+1
