For previous applicants who submitted their primary app around June 30, when did you start getting your secondaries? I realize the the timing is probably going to be different this year since the MCAT was administered more often, but the reason I ask is because I will be out of the country from August 10-31 (and without internet access for most of that time) and I am wondering how best I can prepare myself for the secondary application process. AMCAS has received my transcripts already so verification shouldn't be delayed due to transcript problems. I hope I haven't overlooked any previous threads that discuss a similar issue. Thanks.

I submitted mine mid-July last year and got verified in early August, so it took about two and half weeks. If you submit by the end of the week, by a rough guess it will take about 5-8 business days. (It's taking 3-4 days right now) I would begin the secondary applications right now since you have around 20 schools, (you can search for the secondaries from 2007 if you are not invited to do them yet) and get them out of the way before you leave the country.
