i typed all my secondary apps, but i am overly anal. if you have nice handwriting, you will be fine handwriting them. if there are essays, maybe you should practice on another sheet of paper to confirm that everything you want to say will fit in the allotted space.

I used MS Word for both. UCLA's is a rich text document, so it should be no problem adding the information. UCSF's is a pdf document that wasn't created to be modified. What I did was using Word and setting the top margin low enough to not overlap the header from the original document, then printed onto the pages. My handwriting is fine, but three pages would not be enough! I write in big letters

If you have nice penmanship then yes, writing will sufice, especially if they mail you the form for you to fill out (as oppossed to an electronic document). I did both. I filled my Nova secondary out by hand and when I went in for the interviewer the dean and the other gentlemen exclaimed that they were looking forward to meeting me as they said they couldn't stop looking at my handwriting (in a good way) 🙂 .

Unless you have the legendary handwriting of Sprgrover, I would type them. If the supplemental app was sent as a PDF, use the full version of Acrobat to enter text into the document.

I have the full version, the document wouldn't allow me to add text. I think it's bc the way the document was created. Or maybe they used a different version to create it.

If it was on paper then I handwrote mine. All of the electronic ones I would just use word and cut and paste. I don't know if the handwriting was a good idea since I have only heard from 1 school. Then again all you need to hear is from 1 school so do whatever is easiest.

You need to add a text box.

thanks! 🙂

i'll probably end up doing a mix of both... type for the longer questions, handwrite the short answer informational ones....
