Okay actually i haven't even gotten a any feedbacks yet, but i just want to know what you guys think of my stats and chances of getting in:
Degree: Biology 2009
PCAT:
Composite - 87

I have a lot of volunteering/extracurricular activity and is currently volunteering at a hospital pharmacy

What suggestions do you have for improving my chances?

I'm not going to beat around the bush. Try to get your gpa to a 3.0 (science/math). Most if not all pharmd programs weigh heavily on your science/math gpa.

Check the program you are interested in to see what the average gpa was for the previous entering class. That will give you an idea of what gpa to shoot for. Keep in mind, as each year passes, getting into pharmacy school gets a little bit harder.

good luck.

do they generally group math and science gpa's? because if that's the case, I have above a 3.0 for my math/science gpa.

Pharmcas calculates math gpa, science gpa, non-sci gpa and cum gpa, so yes the math and science are counted separately. I would also suggest you retake the classes you received a lower grade in. The higher grade will be averaged along with the lower grade, so at least it will boost your gpa slightly. Hope this helps...🙂

ppl only mention their gpa, extracurriculars, etc.
i wonder how much of a personal statement plays a part?
do you think yours has UNIQUENESS?
ur stats arent bad at all..if you can stand out with your P.S..
then you would have a good chance!

have you applied yet at all? bc your stats are very similar to mine. granted i've only gotten 1 interview so far..but still...its better than nothing!

i think youre fine..you probably want to retake some science classes to boost the gpa.....but your other stats look pretty good!🙂

i think u have a good chance. my science gpa was 2.9 and my overall was 3.1. i got accepted to 2 out of 4 schools that i interviewed at. i think ur personal statment and answers to the supp questions are really important when u have low-end gpa like me.

You must've nailed the interviews 👍.

i have practically the same stats you have. This is my second time applying... last year I didn't even get an interview. i went to a good university too-ucla- and still i've gotten only one interview and absolutely nothing from the other schools. my personal statement and extracurricular is pretty good so in my opinion admission is heavily GPA based. i called some of the schools last year to ask how i should improve my application and everyone said to raise my gpa. sucks, hope i didn't dismay you in any way. if you believe in yourself then just keep applying! good luck to you!
