Due to strenuous circumstances, I will only be able to take prereqs online for the next one year or so. This is due to the current outbreak and the fact that I will have to base in my parents' country for the next couple of years. I would like to get the ball rolling on my medschool application, however, and I am starting from scratch.

What I mean by starting from scratch is I hold a Bachelor degree in Economics with no science classes under my belt (except for a few IB and AP classes during highschool). What are the current climate in the world of online prereqs and what are my affordable options. Thank you so much in advance.

That's going to be hard to do because some classes such as physics and gen chem have lab components. Some schools also don't accept online classes but if this is the only option you have, just know that you're limiting the schools you can apply to.

University of New England offers a lot of classes online along with lab but it's very expensive. They also have their own osteopathic medical school so that's kinda reassuring. I took their biochem class and it was challenging.

By the way, there are talks online that UNE does not indicate on the transcript if a class was taken online or in class. I don't know if that's true or not.

There is an outline of the MCAT on the AMCAS website. I would base your pre-requisite courses on that.

Thanks! Are there any other more affordable online courses than ones from UNE?
