Are you seeing patients whose mental health has been notably impacted—positively or negatively—by using generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or other conversational agents? We at Stanford’s Brainstorm Lab for Mental Health Innovation are gathering compelling clinical cases for a new case series highlighting the diverse mental health effects linked to generative AI use. We’re looking for both child and adult cases. Given recent media coverage, it is clear that this is a timely and urgent area to address as psychiatrists. We aim to deepen our collective understanding and guide future responsible AI use. We’ll be inviting collaborators who contribute cases to join us as co-authors. If you're interested in participating or learning more, please reach out—we'd love to work together on this timely and important project! Please email Dr. Darja Djordjevic and Dr. Nina Vasan [email protected] by May 2 with “AI case series” in the subject line.
