I was really impressed by Emory. I interviewed there last year. While it was not my top program and not where I matched, it was toward the top of my rank list. They seem to have a really well rounded program with great inpatient and outpatient learning opportunities. I wasn't a big fan that the entire first year is inpatient. That kind of hurts after intern year. The faculty is great. Incredibly friendly and supportive. The program director is fantastic. He really truly cares and wants to recruit "good people" not just "good doctors". It seems that graduating residents are matching in more and more competitive fellowships. In my assessment, I thought it was as good as some of the top tier programs, unfortunately without the name recognition or reputation.
