Hey everyone,
Question for new grads or experienced therapists out there - I will be graduating with my DPT in the next month. I have a couple job offers right now - one in an outpatient ortho setting (75% ortho, 25% neuro) and one with a fairly reputable rehab network in an outpatient neuro setting. My boyfriend and I have been long distance throughout all of PT school. I would prefer to work where he is, but my career goals lie in the neuro field and the outpatient neuro position would be in another city (so more long distance).
If I were to take the ortho position and seek out another neuro opportunity in about a year, am I going to be kicking myself for not taking the neuro OP job as a new grad? Are these hard to come by/be offered as a fairly new grad? I will likely try to find some PRN work at an IPR facility or something that would allow me to keep up my neuro skills.
Any and all advice is appreciated!
