Hi. Jumping over here from the pharmacy board (I'm a pharmacist) to help out a family member by hopefully providing him with some answers/information from some practicing dentists. Where would a dentist list, post or advertise the sale of their practice? He has a broker/agent but would like to reach out to more prospective buyers. He's looking to retire and hasn't come across any dentists looking to buy a practice. The practice is located on Cape Cod, MA. Any info regarding buying/selling of Dental practices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Tell your family member to consider a few things. MA and RI are the only two states with negative population growth. Buyers are extraordinarily smart and frugal now so they will not bite on the hyperinflated appraisal price your broker is asking for. Lower the price and put up a few postings at Harvard, Tufts, and BU.
