This will be my Fall 2009 semester of my junior year in Undergrad.

Physical Chemistry+lab (4):wow:
Inorganic Chemistry (3)😕
Biochemistry (4):scared:
Genetics and Evolution+lab (4)😴
Public Speaking (3)

I want to take as many classes this semester and makes dem 4.0s because these are my LAST two semesters before I apply for pharmacy school. I need to shine

Do you think this is overkill?
I didn't do so hot in Gen chem because I was slacking off. Got Bs for both semesters of Ochem last school year,

Science GPA: 3.00
Overall: 3.21

Assuming I get As in all these classes, My GPA should jump to a 3.45. I'm willing to put in everything I got. i work both Saturdays and Sundays. Anyone think it's possible to make a 4.0 with this schedule?

Thanks
Ji the Captain! HYAH!

You will not get straight As.

If you didn't pull A's in ochem on what was probably a much easier schedule then the chance of you really turning it up a notch (actually several notches) isn't all that great. Certainly it can be done but it is more likely to be done by someone that has already developed a good work ethic for their classes. Ohh and if you say that you had a good work ethic for orgo and still pulled Bs then you are not smart enough to handle this schedule with a 4.0 then. Sorry just my opinion. For your sake I hope you are the type of person that gets really motivated by people telling them that they can't do something.

Holy crap, you're taking PChem with Biochem and Inorganic Chem?? That sounds like a horrible plan, I'm sorry. PChem is notorious for being the most difficult chemistry course.

And, given that you said you're working Saturday and Sunday, you're just going to be totally exhausted from the workload. I'd highly suggest taking one of the chem classes out.

hey thanks guys for the input. yeah it is common here for Chem Majors/pre-pharm to take this schedule. Its called teh trio of death lol. But yeah, call me geeky but I've been making As in my summer calsses and working large amounts of chemistry problems. I feel like as long as devote ZEVEZRY single second into studying and working problems, there should be NO reason why I can't make a 4.0. i understand that this is a bit crazy.
@will: I know where you're coming from. Ochem was actaully a surprisingly easy calss for me. however, getting a B in that class could mean that I am overloading myself this semester.
I really don't mind people telling me I can't. That only motivates the hell outta me lol. I am willing to put in all my effort and quit my job. I am positive this can be done.
(Just passed my PTCBs) so I really want to work a job while taking these calsses to get the experience I need for my application.

Yeah I am not trying to be mean and I really hope that being told you can't will motivate you' I know it motivates me as well. Quitting your job would help a lot by freeing up time; assuming you then are disciplined enough to study with that new found free time. Now you need to ask which would look better, doing well with a semester that crazy, or having just a normal semester but more pharmacy experience under your belt? Honestly if you are currently sitting at no pharmacy experience then I would suggest taking it easy and start working on building that up.

Ahah Will thanks for the advice. and No i would NEVER get mad or offended by someone trying to help out. I know what you mean. You know, the BEST thing would be to hit a 4.0 WHILE working at CVS. lol, which is whaty I shall try to do this semester. But yeah, I think if i can handle this semester, I should be able to handle anything else.
The problem is I JUST decided to do pre pharm last year. I feel so behind, I just want to do everything at once. It is kinda late to do anything becuse yesterday was the last date to drop/add classes.
I must succeed at all costs.
Thanks for all the input!

I'm taking P.Chem, Inorganic Chem, Analytical Chem, and then microeconomics, macroeconomics, phy101+lab. 22 credits. welcome to no life for 15 weeks. Praying for a 4.0 everyday, because I'll need it for pharm school.

If I can do it you can do it! I say that because while I LOVE science, I realized it late (I'm 27) and I had to re-educate my brain to do math and a lot of science, LOL. And I did it! So... I am sure you can too.

P.S. - A Life is overrated and expensive.
