Ok so I started my academic career at a university with semesters, transferred to quarters, and transferred again to play basketball at a college with semesters. I took chem 2 at my first school and had to retake it at my second school with quarters. My first question is how do quarter hours compute into the cGPA if i transferred back to semesters? For example, if each class was 5 quarter hours, what does that end up looking like converted to semester credit hours in my cGPA? I thought on my transcripts, the classes were listed as 3 semester hours? Just not 100% sure on that...

My second question is regarding DO grade replacement. I did better my second time around for chem2, although i think it may be weighed less than the first time i took the class. So would either of those two replace the other? Or would they both be considered in my cGPA?

As far as grade replacement, the DO schools will recalculate your GPA with the better grades and my guess is it still does it even if it's different credit hours. In fact I'm also sure of it. And if I remember correctly, it used to show up on AACOMAS what your calc'd GPA was so you'd have an idea.

These are all questions I would direct to your schools of interest or AACOMAS itself. I e-mailed them several times while applying and while it always took a few days to get a response, they are usually pretty helpful.
