Send LOR directly to schools?

My committee letter has already been sent out by AADSAS, however, my PI for a research project I have been working on offered to write me a LOR. I know it's going to be a very strong letter so I don't want to miss out. Do I really have to go through AADSAS again? 🙁

Check with the schools you are applying to. Some will allow you to send it to them directly. Others will tell you to stick with AADSAS.

how bad does it look if I send the schools that need the letter now and to AADSAS so the schools gets 2 copies of it but at least my app gets complete now instead of a month from now?

or does double letters mean too much of an annoyance that it doesn't matter that you were compelte a month ago?

I didn't even go through AADSAS for my LORs. I had the pre-dental office send out letters to each school individually. The advantage was they send it out the next day for sure.

If the school specifically says forward to AADSAS and not send them directly then follow directions. If they don't mention anything like that you can probably get away with it.
