Sending DAT Scores for 09 Cycle

Hi, I took the DAT about a 1 week ago. I chose to send my scores to 5 schools because I wasn't sure where I wanted to apply. Now, I figured that I am going to apply to about 20 schools. My question is, should I go to the ada website and send them in now? Or should I wait til May, when the 08 Cycle is over before sending them in so the dental schools don't get confused and throw mine out thinking it is for the 08 Cycle. As far as my 5 DAT scores that I sent with the ADA when I registered, do I need to send them to the 5 schools again? Do you guys think the 5 dental schools will keep them for this year's cycle? Wait until the next cycle opens and then fill out a request through ADA to get the scores sent.

so the schools that they give you, the 5 free ones when you register, are not really free? do I have to pay for them again $25 each again?

Best thing to do is call those 5 schools now and ask if they will hold onto the scores for the upcoming cycle. They'll probably be swamped with calls (and may not answer) if you call in May. Rigth now is a good time to get through to them. Even if they tell you they will keep them, pay close attention after you apply to ensure they really were kept. They usually notify you when your file is complete, so if you haven't heard from them by late July (assuming you apply early), call or write to see if they have the scores.

i took my DAT 9/29/06 and i picked 5 schools. i sent in my application 6/5/07. i dont remember sending my DAT scores again to the 5 schools. so i think they just held onto it until i applied. i did send DAT scores to other schools besides the 5.

i think you can send in your scores from ada around now if you want. if you are really worried just send them in at the same time as you submit your AADSAS. since AADSAS takes 4 weeks to verify your gpa, your dat scores should get to the schools before your application.
