Sending in transcripts if none of the courses your taking are prerequisites..?

Does anyone know if you're still required to send in your final transcript for whatever dental school you attend if the classes you're taking are not prerequisites?

I think logically that would make sense.. I am sure that the school is curious how your doing in other classes..

2017 AADSAS Guide:

"Applicants can make updates to the coursework section for newly completed or planned courses using a system called Academic Update. After the application is verified, an applicant can log into the ADEA AADSAS application and update coursework. Verification of this new coursework will begin in November.

Am I required to use Academic Update? ADEA AADSAS recommends, but does not require, applicants with updated grades to participate in Academic Update. However, the dental schools you apply to may require it. Please check with them directly to determine whether or not you are required to use Academic Update. If you fail to enter your updated courses, your designated programs may not consider your application or may revoke a previous offer of admission."

Edit: so it depends on the school. I have received emails from schools I have interviewed at asking for academic updates. I would contact the schools you are applying to.

I actually don't have any grades to report for the academic update. So I'll just have to ask the schools about this semester's grades.

I believe most schools ask you to send in an official transcript from all schools you've attended before the start of classes. So one way or another, they will know all your grades. Send it in later when they ask so you save a couple of bucks.
