I know most schools do not require a letter from a DO but it definitely helps to have. I currently have all the letter requirements fulfilled (2 science, 1 non-science teachers, 1 from a physician but he's an MD) but I am waiting to receive one from a DO. Should I wait to send my letters once I get the DO letter or should I send them anyways and send the DO letter later?

Send them in right away. Do not wait otherwise they will just file your app as "incomplete" which may delay the entire process for you.
If the school does not require the DO letter, send in the MD and other LOR's.

When you do get the DO letter, submit it. They'll just add it on to your complete application.

I would send the ones you have right now, so you don't delay any potential invites, though they might ask for the DO letter later.

Thank you for the response, this is what I was thinking I should be doing!
