I have a silly question; but I got confused...

I am going to apply for 2009 cycle and I am going to take DAT in March.
So I registered for DAT and it asked me which schools i want to send my scores, so I picked 6 schools.

But my question is that if they send my scores to the schools in March but if I apply in May/June, after they send my DAT scores, what happens to my scores?
ie, my DAT scores will arrive to the schools (March) before I apply to those schools (June).

Will the scores be discarded since I am not in the school system (because I won't have applied by then; March)

Do I have to send my DAT scores again in May/June when I apply?😕

It's my understanding that schools discard scores after a cycle is over. So you'd probably have to send them again. Maybe somebody else can confirm this?

Every year I've applied to the same schools without retaking the DAT, I have had to pay to resubmit my DAT scores to the schools. It would be up to the school to file everything away and keep it, but they don't have the desire to do that. Therefore, one of the things you learn in reapplying to schools is to make sure they have everything as soon as the application process has begun. This includes resending all transcripts, even those that haven't changed. In your case that would mean paying the $10 per school to resend the scores. Sorry, but never count on the school to be organized in order to save money.
