Hey everyone, this may be a stupid question but if I just sent my recent wallet sized graduation picture and signed it, would this be good enough for NYU and other schools that require a photograph? I know it says "passport" photograph but this way would be faster and easier, or maybe I am just being neurotic and lazy.. 😀

The schools dont literally mean to send your personal passport photo. A passport photo is usually 2x2. The schools usually want a 2x2 photo with a clear or plain background.

I cut my wallet size pictures that I had taken at Wal-mart for $6.00 into 2x2 since that is the requirement at most schools. So you probably could just cut your picture to a passport size (which is 2x2) and you're all set. However, I'm sure it won't matter if you send a wallet size.

Actually, if schools state they want a 2"x2" picture they usually mean it (e.g. limited space on their paperwork to place the photo, ability to follow directions, etc.). The picture doesn't have to be a real passport photo from Kinkos; I simply had a digital picture taken of myself and printed out the images on a nice color printer on photostock paper and I didn't encounter any problems.

OK thanks everyone for the responses. I'll just cut my grad pictures so they are 2x2.

Personally, I would think Glamour Shots would be nice...trimmed down to 2X2 of course.
