Sending Scores and Transcripts

Do I need to have already sent in the application fee and/or departmental/graduate program applications before I can send schools my transcripts and GRE scores? Because it says to send them 10-20 days in advance, which would be NOW, but I haven't started filling out the applications or paid any of the fees.

I'd imagine that it depends on the school, but I think as long as you have an application open, you should be ok. Call each of the school's admissions offices to confirm.

I have done that with many schools. One thing you can do is create an account and start an application do they have electronic file on you. But most schools should be able to link your transcript with application if transcript comes earlier, but you can always call them later and ask them to look for it
