Sending Second DAT Scores

Hi all, I am confused on how to send my second DAT scores. I took my first test last summer in August and got a 19AA. I know that I can do better and I need at least a 20+ to balance my GPA of a 3.46. I plan on taking my second test on March 14. Right now, I only sent the second scores to the 5 schools for free. If I do worse, than I'll have to take it a third time, but if I do better, this is where I am confused about. After I take the test, do I have to wait for the scores to send to ADA first, before I can send to dental schools? Right after I get home from my test in March, can I log onto ADA website and request the scores sent to the other 15 schools I am planning to apply in, in May? I don't understand which scores will be sent. When I log onto ADA website in March, will there be 2 options: one for my Aug and one for me March? How long do I have to wait after my test to send my scores if they are better? Thanks for the help!

Dental schools will see all the dat scores you have under your name. You have no choice in this matter. Your official dat scores will be sent to the dental schools you designate. Once you've chosen those schools, (i.e. when you signed up for the exam) you cannot change it. If you decide that you want to swap a school etc, it is not allowed. You would have to pay for the additional schools. I would contact the schools you apply to and see if they would let you fax in your un-official score sheet so they can move forward with your application. Some may/maynot accept this while they wait for your official scores. My official scores were received by the schools 3 weeks after my exam. I faxed my un-official score sheet to maryland and baylor after my exam.

The bottom line is they will see all your scores no matter how many times you take the exam. hope all this helps.
