Hey guys,

I just finished a summer course and want to send my updated transcript to AMCAS. Do I simply use the same transcript ID from the original transcript I sent with my primary application, and just send them a new transcript? I'm not sure if there is a specific process for sending updated transcripts, or if I even need to if they haven't requested them.

Thanks for the help!

If your transcripts are already verified, there is no point in sending new ones to AMCAS, as they will not be updated. If you are in the queue for verification and the new transcript can arrive before you expect verification to start, then it might be worth sending it. If the difference in your application is minimal with the new transcript, then there is no reason to send it.

It's actually a critical pre requisite class that I got an A in, and I mentioned the grade in secondaries I already submitted. Should I send it in?

I have called AMCAS about hits and they explicitly told me that they would not update my AMCAS after submitting. Even before verification but maybe try your luck. I'm just updating schools through the secondaries and I got As in Ochem this summer

@Godawg, I called and they said the same thing. Looks like we'll be calling individual schools!

Many schools don't accept transcript updates. UC Davis for example. I think it's just best to update them in the secondaries and then I've heard of some schools asking about he transcripts at that point but idk for certain. Some schools are impossible to gget ahold of. I tried calling NYMC but I just get to an automated machine that hangs up on me: emailing some schools has also left me In the dark since they don't respond :/

Hmm. AMCAS told me that wasn't possible: I guess no harm in trying to send them although I'll probably be verified soon.
I agree that there's no downside to trying. It's not outside the realm of possibility that AMCAS policy could be variously interpreted by their different phone operators.
