So there have been a few top tier schools that I'm still on the unofficial interview hold list (aka my file is just "complete", not rejected, not officially put on hold, but no interview yet).

I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to send them updates about myself, since I was basically complete since August. I know a few schools say that you can feel free to continue adding to your application after submission, but I was wondering about schools in general.

I have a few important things to add... in this time I got a publication, I worked on a biomedical project that I had to apply for patents for, and my semester grades improved noticeably since the time of submission. (~3.75/semester to ~3.9)

What do you guys think?

EDIT: Also, if you guys think that is a good idea, would it be okay if I send my unofficial transcript, or... should I contact the specific school?

Blahh. Lots of schools to call tomorrow, then. I was hoping there would be a magical one-size-fit-all answer.

Sadly, there never is and that's what makes the whole application such a pain. You have to consciously keep track of every school you apply to.
