Sending updates to schools?

Do we send schools updates during the cycle or is this not necessary?

Say if we picked up a new EC or something...

Not sure, I was under the impression that your application is complete when you submit, as far as EC's go.

I say that because you cannot update that section after submission.

I don't think picking up an extra EC would warrant an update to the school unless you were placed on their waitlist or still have not heard from them past November or December. The only updates I would send are updated transcripts from the summer session courses. If you feel it is an important EC, call the school up and see if it will be okay to send a letter, otherwise I don't think an EC will change your app that much.
