so i have a couple interviews already and i have decent stats but i am really not in the mood to keep up with studying, i am wondering do u think it could harm me if i dont do as well this semester. Transcripts are already in, assumingly i will get accepted for 07, what does it matter what i get this semester or the next one...definately no D's hopefully As and Bs but if a C slipped in would it be a big deal?? i understand that this doesnt sound like a dental student but technically speaking would it hurt me?

Same thoughts here, but I never considered dropping past a B.

Seriously man, don't do it. If you start getting lazy and slacking off now, it won't be fun when it's time to transition to dental school.

I feel the same way, and when I currently have 9 interviews I am not going to them all, but it takes a lot of time away from school to go to them all. I heard some guys, after beingaccepted, drop out of school and start working to save up some money and not finish their bachelors. have you guys heard or know anybody that has done this.

SDN does not help either-there is too much to think about and plan-2 months is to far

Oh yea, I was also going to say that all specialist schools require transcripts from your undergrad, so I do not know if that will affect your chances or not

A C is okay, as long as its a bitch of a class. I have P-chem at 8am this semester and it is a bitch. If I get a C in there I would not be completely upset.

I'm finishing my bachelor's regardless of whether I get accepted or not. That way, at the very least and no matter what happens, I have a college degree under my belt. I'm a slacker but I have a hard time letting my grades slip.

Buddy, unless you are lying about/inflating your stats, you have a 3.97 and great test scores, if you get a couple extra B's (even heaven forbid a C) this semester or next because you didn't kill yourself with work or pester every professor you have, I think you'll survive.
If you're worried about loosening the belt too much before dental school hits maybe you need to realize dental school will hit you hard no matter if you keep an insane pace these next two semesters or not.
However, do look at where you will graduate. The GPA you graduate with stays that way. Also if you wanna shoot for one of the honors distinctions, keep up the excellent work you've done!

I personally am letting myself go, like a dieting hooch at the dessert bar.

I can't keep my grades at the highest level when I am flying in and out of SLC at all hours of the morning and night, then booking it to class jet- lagged.

My grades will suffer this semester because of all the school I have missed and will yet miss. I don't even care. B's and C's will get degrees, and I am heading to dental school.

Wahooooo!!!!!!!!:D :D

Oh I wouldn't give up completely on grades if you are sketchy about getting in, but I think you guys know that already.
