I applied and was accepted with a 3.8 BCPM/3.7 Overall GPA. My school just told me I had to get at least a C in my last pre-req class (which I will definitely get at a minimum). My only problem is my biochemistry now. I will get at least a C, but maybe not much higher than that. The professor in that course is very not understanding and rude. My computer froze on me for proctor u midterm one night, and she wouldn't give me a makeup, so I'm automatically down to a B. Now, she gave me a 0/10 for an assignment cause I selected a poor article to review for a peer review journal , when the syllabus clearly delineates that based on my work, I should get at least a 5/10, if not 8/10. I'm hoping for a B in the best case, or a C in the worst case for this class. My only saving grace is that she doesn't bother making new exams and the chegs I use to review have very similar questions to those on the exam.

Even though I will me meeting my med schools requirements, I honestly believed I could've gotten an A or A- and my reasons for a lower grade were not for poor quality work, but no work due to things out of my control. This class gives me horrors and I just want to get past it. Its also affecting my mood, performance in other classes, and relationships/motivation. I also hope medical schools use the transcript I submitted to AMCAS and not my final grades, where the GPA might be .1 points lower.

Youll have to submit your final transcript once you graduate to whatever school you end up going to. Fortunately, its not likely theyll rescind your acceptance for a single bad grade so I wouldnt worry too much..just dont fail

Probably what everyone says above, but dude seriously.. "not my fault, things out of my control" then in the same breath "have stopped studying for this, using chegg examples to mimic what's on the exam". Like sure, maybe some unfortunate things happened, but also sounds like you don't give a ****. The woe is me thing.. super sus. Especially for an incoming M1 lol. GL

People that try hard till the very end are wasting their effort tbh. You won’t miraculously become a bad student in medical school cause you messed around your last year. I’ve essentially given up in every class and have spent more time doing what makes me actually happy. If that means I become a bit softer then so be it because at least I won’t burn out.

Lol same. I don't give a flying **** right now. I know this last year will probably be my last chance to take it easy (and I already have all my prereqs done anyway). Fortunately, I graduate this semester and won't be doing anything academic in the spring. Enjoy the year. Cheers.
