The following is a question from Kaplan QBank.
I have specifically annotated into my FA from BRS Behavioral Science that the reasoning behind choice C is correct. In other words, I had encountered roughly an identical question in BRS Behavioral, where the parental-tapering method is notably discussed as best treatment for the child.
Take a look at Kaplan's explanation for why they consider choice C wrong. The child is 5 year-old. Peer-ridicule at that age due is quite unlikely, let alone the fact that counseling at that age is even more unlikely to be effective. If the child were older, choice C makes more sense, but the question writer had overlooked the age that he or she had chosen for the vignette.
I believe Kaplan QBank is incorrect here.
