Hhaha. Me too, i suppose to take it in early September but the math and bio holding me back, delay until mid Sep, still not feel ready.
I am taking it in Sept. 26. How about you??

According to this forum, math is the least important section but i think some schools have a cut off. I'll be happy with 17 or 18.

I think if you prepared for the other sections, then spend 5 days study super hard for math, you will get at least 16

Salaam, Ramadan Mubarak! I think you should focus on it hardcore until Sept 5 or so, grab some SAT Math books! If you do a lot, I think you will be good.

Walaykum Assalam, Ramadan Kareem!! It sounds crazy, but I think doing a little math everyday until the 8th will put me in ok position. I am good at math also, but I am worried about all the little formulas etc...

practicing on my math now. CrackDAT MATH...some are hard and i dont think they explains it well, i caught some typo on their answers...which is no no good...iono whether i should trust their answers for the other 24 test samples or not...

What do you guys think about the CrackDAT Math.?

the reading given from the DAT is not meant for you to understand,absorb all info and answer it because you dont have enough time. skimm thru it kinda see whats on each paragraph, then search for your answers.

Depends on which schools you're applying to and what your stats are. Of course it would be preferred that students have all their stuff in by Sept. 1, but people still get interviews and acceptances with having their file complete by mid to late Sept.

The biggest step is having all your app verified and mailed. Once that goes through you can take your time with your DAT.

If you are applying for the 09 cycle are you applying this may or june of 09 or earlier? Cuz i am a bit confused. I want to apply may or june of 09, but want to get into dental school the fall of 2010. Is this too early to apply or the right time?

to gain entry in the Fall of 2010, u need to apply in May 2009. This application cycle is for those who want to start dental school in Fall 2009.

Okay, so looks like I am most likely going to postpone the test till after christmas break because after doing problem sets on o-chem, looks like I got a lot more studying to do. I had a couple questions though, here they are:

1) How do you tell which compound is the best leaving group?
2) How can you tell when a compound is going to undergo substitution or elimination? It's hard to tell sometimes.

I cancelled my trip that i planned 4 months back , whole summer gone for the DAT, quit my job so i can have more time at the dental office. Even though...i wont be on the early admission, but crossing my fingers that some school would save me a spot, ...almost done.........for those Sept takers hang on..!!

These 2 questions make up half the material tested on the orgo section, very important!! Do a thread search and you will find some good explanations.

i am takin my DAT end of september as well, i am so glad that i am not the only one. i am more concerned about doing well than applying early. this is my second application cycle, last year i SUBMITTED my apllication on november 31st, so it was mailed to the schools much later than that and i still got interviews! i didnt get in coz my scores were weak. so concentrate on being a good applicant and the rest will fall in place. since you have already submitted your application, you should be OK.
