Registration for the September MCAT opens up soon, so I thought I would make the thread.
Who else will be taking the test in September?

Somebody help me PLEASE!
When listing AP/IB credits earned for the ACCOMAS application, do you put them as high school semesters that they were earned in or are they all grouped into the 1st Freshman semester of college like AMCAS??? I looked everywhere to find out! :help:

Look on "FAQ" section of AACOMAS. All the questions you have can be answered there.

I'm waiting, too. Feeling sick and very anxious. I expect a bad score. A very bad score. I didnt prepare properly, havent taken biochem yet, and felt like I guessed on more than half of it. I already applied to 34 schools. I expect to withdraw my application tomorrow.

for those of you not in school, what have you been doing since MCAT?

I'm non traditional, so it has been nice to go back to a normal work week without having to worry about studying after working 8+ hrs/day.

Already have my application verified, and LORs ready to go, so just praying for a great score. I still have to wait 2 more weeks for mine though.... 😕

Oh my god I'm doing the exact same thing hahahaha. Since I'm away at college I told her to keep checking tomorrow and call me when the score comes out (also really afraid all the predictors are inflated because mostly only high scorers post after getting their scores back). I just want a 509 please.. I've been enjoying having an MCAT free life 🤔
Oh boy your comment really freaked me out... You might be right about the inflation. Would you post your score if you had scored poorly? I think I would.

I think Amazon knows marks are coming out today. Email earlier today: "Amazon recommends: MCAT organic chemistry review." Yes I already know I needed more practice on that section, tyvm.

So are we all thinking it will be around 3?

Yeah, 3-3:15pm ish

haha same thoughts went through my mind when Kaplan e-mailed me yesterday about their courses

Today is the day boyz!! I just woke up and checked the AAMC website already haha. Its good to be on the west coast and get my scores earlier 😉

We are crying on the east coast, getting up 7 am today and has to wait for another 8 hours to get the score.

Scores are out ...

CP: 129 / CARS: 127 / BIO: 131 / PS: 127 ; Total: 514 (91%)

GOOD ENOUGH

AAMC: 73/92/81/81

Do I have to manually add this to someone's database somewhere?

Anyways, I totally predicted my bio and psych section marks, not so much the first 2. I guess easy CARS means it was also straightforward for others, not that I'm complaining. Total relief. Thought I got 124 in C/P based on how I felt about it. All my scores fell within the range set by the predictor, and the total fell one point lower than predicted. I only did 2 FL exams (AAMC and EK1) and the OG questions so I felt like I was lacking in practice. I'm glad things turned out well.

Congrats to everyone else! And to those retaking, good luck! Keep at it, you'll get to where you want.

Score: 515 (93%)
Breakdown:
C/P: 131
CARS: 129
B/B: 131
P/S: 124

AAMC FL: 85%, 91%, 98%, 90%

Pretty stoked! Studied for 4 months during the summer, pretty much doing nothing else. Obviously, I would like to have higher P/S, but eh, just happy this is a competitive overall score. Let me know if anyone has any questions, I would be happy to help! Good luck everyone, and shutout to @mcatjelly for all the helpful advice and materials.

508 (128/125/129/126).

FL: 519 (130/130/130/129) Predictor WAY OFF but consistent with my pre-study FL score of (68%/91%/71%/71%). Fortunately, I believe this is good enough for the school I am applying for, so to hell with a retake.

I feel like I should be very happy about my score, but I'm not sure how to interpret my CARS...

518: 132/126/131/129

Does anyone have any input? This is pretty imbalanced... right?

Guys I did so well. I'm waiting for them to send me an email that it is wrong.

C/P: 129
CARS: 128
B/B: 131
P/S: 130
Total: 518

Wow. I was targeting 515 and realistically expecting 512. What a day. Funny that verbal was my worst after being my best on literally every practice I took - may have been a bit overconfident on test day.

Now I've gone from slacking off at work due to nervousness to slacking off at work due to happiness. Much better.

I think you're fine. 125 is closest to an 8, and 126 is like a 9. I don't think you are that imbalanced.

If you scored that well in 3 sections, you shouldn't be complaining. Especially since it's way past 80th percentile.

C/P: 128
CARS: 126
B/B: 126
P/S: 130
Total: 510

Much, much better than my 01/10 score of 26 (PS:6, VR:11, and BS:9). I have interviews at all of the podiatry schools I like anyways, but it's a nice confidence boost heading in. CARS has me feeling funny, but coming back from that horrendous score overshadows it. On the FL I scored a 73%/92%/96%/81%.

Does anyone think this is good enough to apply or should I re-take?
CA,URM applicant average GPA and pretty great EC's

I couldn't stop shaking for three minutes...

C/P 129 - 93
CARS 127 - 81
B/B 128 - 87
P/S 130 - 97
Total 514 - 91

AAMC FL Scores
C/P 66%
CARS 87%
B/B 63%
P/S 81%

Like a lot of people, I'm a little disappointed/dumbfounded by CARS and would love another point or two there, but I am so so happy overall. The comparison chart says a 514 is close to a 32 or 33, and my top school's average is 34. If they don't like me hopefully it's not because of my MCAT. After 5 years my MCAT journey has come, I think, to an end.

To everyone unhappy with their scores and still wants to be a doctor: Keep fighting. I got a 25R in 2011 and a 27 this past January. It's so hard, but you CAN come back from a disappointing score.

I would say it would depend on the school you are applying to and their cutoffs. Being URM puts you at a pretty great advantage from what I recall after reading a certain AAMC link somewhere. Depending on your race, I would say that is a pretty good score because there are not as many URMs applying to medical schools.

I'm looking at the UC schools. My numbers are pretty average but my EC's are what I'm hoping get me through. I've done summer internships at UCSF and UCLA, but what do you think my chances are at the CA schools?

OKAY! not an amazing score or anything (at all) but it's all I needed to get to have a shot at medical school given my GPA 3.9 (same for science and non-science), my clinical experience (1000+hours).
I scored a 504.
CP: 126 (left the last section completely blank because of poor timing and neuroticism over details, so I'll take that)
CARS: 124(of course I am an ESL student french origin)
BB: 128 (YES:claps:!) and
PS: 126 (given how I felt about it afterwards, I will TAKE IT)
I believe this is equivalent to a 27-28 on the old MCAT so I'm kinda happy with that.
Even though I took it with a headache due to 25 hours of insomnia and a bit more than a week before the actual thing, my AAMC FL predicted rather correctly (almost too correctly if I must say so myself; right in the middle of the range) (with the exact same breakdown)
And NO, I will NOT be retaking this test. I'm Likely to Apply to DO or low-tier MD programs and I believe that a 3.9 Gpa and a 504 mcat can get me there.
Although I was praying for a 515+ miracle, I knew deep down that I'd be pretty damn cool with anything north of 500!
