Hey everyone!
I want to start out by stating that I am NOT a troll! I've been creeping on these forums for a while, and have been talking to various people about the whole URM thing. I've been told that a URM with something like a 3.2 and a 26 MCAT will get accepted if he/she applies broadly. Now my question is, can the stats really be THAT low? Because from the MSAR, there are barely any Hispanics accepted into most MD schools anyway. I'm sure this question has been beaten to death already, but I want fresh opinions. Sorry if this upsets anyone! I know the whole issue is sticky around here, and I can understand why it would be. I just want some feedback. Thank you!

Don't know if all 1,351 URM applicants with gpa of 3.0-3.39 and MCAT 24-26 applied broadly but according to the AAMC less than half of that group (n=632) got an offer of admission.

See:

Do your best and hope for the best.

Only 44% of URMs get admitted... I guess they should all work harder. /sarcasm

So a URM with a 3.5 ( or higher)and a 27 MCAT (or higher) has a very high chance of getting accepted?

Sorry, Yreva. The link wouldn't open on my phone and I won't have actual computer access for the next 2 weeks. Thanks for your feedback.
