Hi All!

So a little bit about me..

I graduated with my bachelor's in biology last year. My gpa was roughly 3.2 (science and overall). Afraid I wouldn't get into med school, I applied and began to attend nursing school out of desperation and I am sincerely regretting it 🙁.

I wish i could drop this program but i know it's in my best interest to finish as it will not look good to programs in the future.

My question is: What would be the best course of action (least costly) to take after I finish this program to get into medical school?

I apologize if this question has been asked before.

THANK YOU!!

I dropped out of nursing school, used the experience to my advantage during applications. Don't dig yourself into it if you don't like it, because it isn't going to get better.

Do what's right for you because you will have equal amount of yay's and nay's to your question. Someone dropped out, someone one else finished, someone else started a chicken farm. Do what makes sense for you, there's not a single path to the top.

1. You can easily say "After finishing nursing school I realized I wanted to become a physician because reasons x y z"

2. You can easily say "I dropped out of nursing school because I realized I wanted to become a physician for reasons x y z"

The question you have to ask yourself which one looks better in your situation. I think it is "1" that looks better because you have a low GPA and dropping out of nursing school now looks like another "failure" on your end. So, finishing nursing school shows you are a capable kid with genuine motivations.

MCAT will be another factor.
