Why the hell am I getting spam email from the Princeton Review sent to the email address I gave SDN? I absolutely did not sign up for this ****.
It's called a spam filter...
(and before you start whining about what SDN does to make money, would you rather have a recurring membership fee instead?)
Under My Account > Your Profile > Edit Your Details, did you check "No" in the "Partner Emails" box?Why the hell am I getting spam email from the Princeton Review sent to the email address I gave SDN? I absolutely did not sign up for this ****.
I'm reluctant to believe SDN would give our info away without consent.

Can you prove this?Believe it, because they do.
Can you prove this?
I would say the address was picked up by some bot on your computer/browser before I'd blame SDN for selectively giving away email addresses of members to advertisers. The specific email address I registered my SDN account with was only ever used to register my account on SDN. It was never used for any other purpose anywhere ever. Today I got an email from the Princeton Review shilling some crap sent to my SDN-only email address.

Well, this is embarrassing...I go check my Spam folder on my GMail account and there's the TPR emailI doubt it because I got the exact same email and don't usually have spam on this email.
It's probably SDN's way of telling you you need a higher MCAT score.
SDN does not sell member email lists. We do occasionally allow active sponsors to send emails to those members that have specifically opted-in to receive mailings. These lists can only be generated by an SDN Admin and are only allowed to be used for a specific campaign -- sponsors do not have any access to our member database.
We're going to investigate this to determine how their mailing list was generated.
