Hey guys,

Incredibly grateful to have been accepted to my top choice medical school with the full-tuition scholarship. I was also offered to be a RA (Resident Assistant) at a graduate student housing. I have been an RA all along my undergrad years, and the job comparatively seems like a lot of reduced obligations. I am curious if anyone has done similar to this and if you recommend/discourage it? Main RA responsibilities will be occasionally holding the duty phones throughout the year and holding educational programs for students once a month.
I'm from a very humble family, so free housing and some stipends will help a lot! Pls share your thoughts and experiences!
Congratulations!

Check the financial aid office on this, but I'm curious if this is a position at an Ivy institution. Specific example
Pre-Med Advising | Kirkland House

Have you been in touch with any other current medical students in a similar position at that program?

Thank you @Mr.Smile12 ! This is not an Ivy institution, but lovely to learn there are similar positions like this in different institutions!

I have not found anyone who served as a RA while in my medical school.. but will continue to look out for their mentorship!
Hopefully someone in the financial aid office can connect you with those who may have done RA while in medical school to answer questions on impact on your package. At any rate, good luck!
