If a 15yo girl tells her psychiatrist/psychologist that she was sexually abused by her father, does that automatically get reported to CPS? What if the girl and her mother do not live with the father (because of divorce) and the girl is in no danger? Can the girl receive treatment from a mental health provider without getting "the authorities" involved?
