SF match application research R&A page

I have a question about the SF match application. On the last page there is a page titled "R&A" Research activities, papers and/or additional information:List all authors and complete reference in chronological order.

Can we use this space to describe our research activities or is this space where we can only list publications/abstracts/presentations?

Also, if we just recently submitted a paper to a journal, should we reference it similar to a publication or just mention it in a blurb along with a description of the project?

I put research activities as well. I also listed pending publications the same way as my other publications but all under a separate heading titled Unpublished Research
