The Montefiore Ophthalmology Research Fellow Scholarship enables medical students to conduct clinically relevant research at an important time during their professional education. The selected research scholar will work primarily with Anne Barmettler, MD, and Roy Chuck, MD, PhD, as well as other leading clinician scientists, at the Montefiore Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in conducting basic, translational, or clinical research from June 1 to May 31.

This is a paid position that also comes with a stipend to attend conferences.

I am the current research fellow, and Dr. Barmettler is very motivated and has a lot of ideas for projects, so there will definitely be plenty of opportunities to get published throughout the year. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested!
