Hi, I was wondering if anyone is applying to this program for the Summer 2018? I know the application is due March 1st, and I am submitting my application this week. How hard is it to get in? Any info would be appreciated!
 
Following this thread too. Are you applying to any other programs or just sfsu?
 
I'm applying but for fall! I've heard good things about the SFSU post bac program. Where did you guys do undergrad?
 
Do you think it will matter if we did a post-bac at a state school after we attended UC's...?

I don't think it matters, as long as we get good grades, attain all those extracurricular hours, and perform well on the mcat. I am applying to a few other schools though (Mills, Scripps, and SFSU). How about you?

Which other post baccs did you apply to? So far, I've submitted to Mills, finishing up my app to Scripps, and I'll apply to SFSU. My stats are pretty good but I'm nervous!

Just SFSU at the moment. The other programs I'm applying to are 2nd bachelors in Biomedical Science/Human Biology
 
Anyone have an information on the acceptance rate for SFSU's post-bacc (AET)? I just just submitted my app today for Summer 2018. Hoping to hear back soon!
 
How many of the essays did you guys fill out? An odd number of them are optional...

I think 4? I did the mandatory 2, plus 1st gen college student and then the additional info at the end

Nice yeah I finished the 2 mandatory ones and I think that I am also going to do the one about the quality of my high school. I'm just hesitant because I don't know if the number of essays that I submit will affect my admission decision

I don't think so, I think they care more so about classes and grades. If anything the essays are just to better construct a view of your character/ to explain any hiccups or obstacles in your education. But I might be wrong lol

I'm waiting to submit my application for Fall. The deadline works out timing-wise because I'll know if I got into my other choices by then. Sending you good vibes!

I called and they said the first 2 weeks of March (for summer session) - this was at the end of Feb. so not sure if this still holds up. I might call again this week
 
I'm planing on applying to SFSU for the Fall cohort and I'm pretty excited about it! Has anyone applied and received their acceptance yet?

Same! I applied but haven't heard anything back yet about an interview
 
I just called SFSU and they said that people who applied for fall probably won't hear back about interviews until after the final deadline (May 1st)

Ah no sorry I didn't ask. I'd assume you'll hear back soon though because the summer deadline was a couple weeks ago, and he said that for the fall applicants, we'll hear back soon after the fall deadline (May 1st)

I feel like I am waiting until the last minute to do my applications, even though the deadline is months away. Hopefully I will hear something back soon after I submit! And the best of wishes to you and your acceptance into the program 🙂

Probably won't get an interview. I applied on 2/20 lol
 
Applied to fall with the May 1 deadline. Haven't heard anything, yet. Anyone else? :shrug:
 
I'm looking to apply for Spring 2019; the application isn't open yet but I saw that it's composed of submitting your transcripts and letters of recommendation. Is there a personal statement portion/essay part?

I'm hoping to apply for the Summer 19 Cohort, I have a 3.6 GPA 300+ hours of volunteering in the ER department at my local hospital. Would I gain admission to this program? I realize it's incredibly competitive for the career changer track.
 
has anyone who interviewed on july 21st heard back from the program? a little worried that i haven't.

I am currently choosing between some post bacc and SMP and most schools have already gotten back to me and for SF state, their deadline isn't even until 5/1/19 so I am not sure what will happen with my application. I was wondering since this thread was from last year how people are liking the program so far. Why did you chose this program over others? Did anyone try and look into special masters programs? Does you personal adviser give you help on your professional school application and interviews as well as coursework help? Is there any MCAT prep? Do you have any opportunities to work with people from UCSF, because that would be the dream medical school? Any input would be wonderful! Thank you thank you !!!
