I wouldn't put much faith in MD out of state. MD in Texas is probably your only chance and even those chances look low. This is coming from a TX resident who applied with a 3.6 GPA and 506 mcat before and received no acceptances.

For DO, I believe you're right on the money Stat wise. They tend to focus more on you're extracurricular/volunteering and you look fine in those categories.

Edit: as for the school list, never hurts to add more in my opinion. You'll have to write a ton of secondaries though.
