I've already completed my TMDSAS (Texas) application. I know it's late in the application cycle, but I need help finalizing my OOS list (in order of increasing selectivity).
  1. Howard
  2. New Mexico
  3. University of Arizona - Phoenix
  4. LSU - Shrevport
  5. Kansas
  6. University of Arizona - Tuscon
  7. UCLA
  8. UC Riverside
  9. Loma Linda
  10. Loyola
  11. UC Davis
  12. Albany
  13. Oregon
  14. George Washington
  15. Wake Forest
  16. UC Irvine
  17. Drexel
  18. LSU - New Orleans
  19. U Minnesota - Twin Cities
  20. Penn State
  21. Rosalind Franklin
  22. Tulane
  23. Rutgers
  24. University of Colorado
I could also use some support for a DO school list. Thank you!

UCLA is a bit of a reach. Your MCAT is 7 points below the median and you are disadvantaged applying OOS as UCLA prefers in state applicants. I recommend replacing it with a different mid tier.

OOS MD schools interview few Texas applicants since they know from experience that they will attend Texas schools. Exceptions are high stat applicants, former residents, those who attended an undergraduate school in the state, URM . You could try Tulane and some of the newer schools such as:
Seton Hall
NOVA MD
Quinnipiac
Oakland Beaumont
Loma Linda
For DO schools I suggest these:
AZCOM
TUNCOM
BCOM
UIWSOM
VCOM (all 3 schools)
CUSOM
MU-COM
DMU-COM
PCOM
CCOM
ATSU-KCOM
KCU-COM

Thank you @TheRealBatmanMD and @Faha - super helpful!

Rutgers takes ~15-20% OOS so I might skip that school unless you have strong connections to NJ; try Seton Hall instead, they take about 50/50 IS and OOS

So I've already added the following private OOS on AMCAS:
  1. Seton Hall
  2. NOVA MD
  3. Quinnipiac
  4. Oakland Beaumont
  5. Loma Linda
  6. Loyola
  7. Tulane
Should I still include the follow public OOS, many of which were from my original list?
  1. New Mexico
  2. Arizona - Phoenix
  3. LSU - Shreveport
  4. Arizona - Tuscon
  5. George Washington
  6. Wake Forest
  7. Penn State
  8. Rosalind Franklin
  9. Drexel
  10. New York Medical College
  11. Creighton

I'd take out UC Riverside and Davis, they're extremely region/state biased.

New Mexico, LSU and the Arizona schools accept very few non residents with your stats. You could try the others. Let us know if you receive any interviews from the OOS schools.
