I am in a dilemma
so I got a C,C+,C+ in my intro to bio and intro to chem courses
Which significantly lowered my gpa, I am on an upward trend however my sgpa is 3.255 and my cgpa is a 3.55
I have received 4.0 every semester since I got those grades in my second year

The thing is if I manage to pull
Up my gpa to a 3.52 sgpa and a 3.6 cgpa by spring should I apply? Or should I delay a year and aim for a 3.7 cgpa and 3.65 sgpa?
The only reason I am doubting to add an exta year is because I don't want to be too greedy and end up messing up my gpa
If you were in my situation would you apply or wait?

I would wait and apply later. I say this for three reasons:

1. clearly you have become a better student since you got those grades and it is in your interest to continue showing this academic achievement to convince adcoms that you are actually better and your new grades aren't a fluke.

2. You don't want to go through the application process twice if you don't have to. Apply with the absolute best application you can put together. If waiting a year will make you a stronger candidate, grades, research, volunteering, leadership, then you should wait.

3. Schools like students who take a little time to do something with their lives and not go straight into medical school. More and more people are waiting - it makes you older, more mature, more qualified etc. There is a reason that the average medical school matriculation age is around 24 - it's not just a few old non-trads pulling the average up, it's a general trend that students are waiting longer to apply.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply
Would you say there is a big difference between a 3.5 and 3.6 sgpa and a 3.6 vs 3.7 cgpa?

Suggest waiting until you're finished. Apply with the best possible packet.

Someone told me to cut my losses and just go for it
Because I may mess up and ruin my upward trend and gpa
I guess advantage: raise gpa
Disadvantage: more chance to mess up gpa

Gamble:/
