Hello all,

I have a few questions I am trying to get answers to and I couldn't find them while searching. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When figuring out my sGPA do I include classes that I received a C- or lower and retook for a passing grade? I had one bad semester and all the classes I have since retaken with A's.

Also since I received my AA degree from a CC and transferred to a University I have my old GPA which is a 3.3 and now my University GPA is a 3.5 all in upper division science courses, will schools look at this or just look at my sGPA and cGPA?

Lastly, what does ADDSAS consider a science course? I have taken a few classes that I'm not sure whether they are other science or not. I have taken or plan to take Pre-Med success, Basic clinical skills, intro to pre-health professions, medical terminology, and geography.. I just don't know if I should include this in my sGPA so I can get an accurate representation of what my sGPA is to them.

Thanks again,

-Matthew

All science courses you've taken are averaged into your sGPA. Even if your school averaged out or replaced a failing grade, AADSAS will look at all the grades you've received and compiled a total sGPA for you. Grades are not replaced and all coursework will show up on your AADSAS file.

AADSAS will add all the classes up and provide you with a new total average for sGPA and cGPA and BCP. Basically they each letter grade convert it into a numerical number and then divided it by total credits to determine a new total cGPA, sGPA and BCP. As stated above, all coursework is included including C-, D, and F's

When you create an AADSAS account there will be a link that will designate all the categories that are considered science classes. For example, all Math and Stats courses are considered science courses but Business Statistics would not count as a science course. You have to read those categories and fill out your profile to the best of your knowledge. AADSAS will then review your Coursework and make adjustments as they see fit. (This is the verification process after you submit your application.)

Thanks again,

Thanks for your help. I know these questions have been answered before I just couldn't remember and couldn't find them. Hopefully others can also find your answers useful.

Thanks
