Forgive me for being naive but Im looking into applying at SGU or one of the other Caribbean medical schools.

The SGU rotations the 3rd and 4th year are done in the carribean or in the United states. I had a friend who after studying at SGU for two years did his clinical rotations in New york and Europe.

Do you spend all four years in the Caribbean at Caribbean hospitals?

thx guys

Generally speaking SGU graduates almost assuredly spend years 1-2 in the island campus, doing basic sciences. After the Step 1 exam most students will end up placed in one of three New York hospitals, which are in Brooklyn. They do shuffle around for each rotation but NY, NJ, CT are the big places for SGU grads. I know plenty of kids who did their years 3-4 in NY and were able to get residency in those hospitals due to recommendation and having a great network. Hope this helps you.
