I want to practice internal medicine in the U.S. I'm a U.S. citizen. If I start at SGU this Fall, would I have difficulty matching? I know there is an impending residency crunch, but will this affect SGU graduates graduating in 2017? Thanks.
there is already a residency crunch...this might work out for you but don't be blind to the risk, there is definitely a risk you never get a residency here if you go international
just check the percentage of im matches from international schools
US allopathic is over 95% and osteopathic matched over 74% into osteopathic (which doesn't account for the DO grads that chased an allopathic residency)
